The day came and went in a blaze of Troon sunshine. We thoroughly enjoyed the festivities and the simplicity of the ceremony. A beautiful wedding marvellously executed.
The weather could not have been kinder to the obviously delirious couple. The theme of purple, reflected subtly in the Scottish heather buttonholes and strikingly on the wonderful bridesmaid. Flowers filled the rooms of the hotel, much to Claire's enjoyment.
The location at Troon made travel very easy and both the ferry out and the flight back worked without delay. It was a great excuse to return to Scotland and to see old friends.
Highlight of the day will always be the unusual sight of Jeremy looking soppy.
